The Guide to HOW and WHY Interior Designers can Help you!!

Are you hesitant and thinking why would you hire a designer? You've heard the myth that designers are too expensive? You have many ideas and you just don’t have the time to put them together?

Lots of people don’t really know what designers do, I think it is our responsibility as designers to speak more to the public about what we can do and how we really add more revalue to any project.

Design is not just good taste, it is science too!!!! SERIOUSLY REHAB!!

Yes, I swear. It is calculations, it is code requirements, it is your own health and safety, it is satisfying functionality and client specific that tailors the needs which differs from one person to the other.

Let me first tell you a bit about what designers know, shall I start with Ergonomics, Anthropometrics or speak more about lighting and minimum lux calculations? I guess I better talk about how material specifications could enhance indoor air quality and enhance your health. Now let me talk about sustainable materials and universal Design. Oh my god, I am all over the place. Designers know too much!!!

Yes exactly! I was bragging here because it is tough when people don’t realize the value you can really add and think that your job is just to put some nice colors together. Trust me, designers are a hidden treasure.

Let’s get a bit serious, whether it is just decorating ideas, renovation projects, or a newly built facility. Hiring an Interior designer is a wise investment for the successful and precise completion of your project.

Professional Interior designers (as per the interior designers Association) should

**Help keep your project on time and on budget. They are skilled at assisting clients to realize their goals. Designers are good at creating built environments that enhance the quality of life and culture of the occupants

** Create spaces that are functional, profitable, and aesthetically attractive; ensure that the design complies with all regulatory and

legal requirements and that the health, safety, and welfare of the occupants are protected.

**Designers encompass a variety of disciplines, including corporate/workplace, retail, healthcare, hospitality, and residential design

**Have unique training and are qualified through a rigorous process of education, experience, and examination.

I don’t want to sound too technical here, though I already did, my only point is, just don’t hesitate to chat with your chosen designer and know more about what they do and how they can help and add value to your project.

Believe me, if you hire a designer, it is gonna be a journey and you need to trust your designer (basically your journey Guide). You hired them to give you what you need, so be patient, they can always see the big picture and they have a vision that serves your specific purpose.

They work on your side, Enjoy the journey with them and it will pay off in the end.

Wish you all a happy design journey
